United States Purchasing Exchange was a large direct mail, catalog company. I started as a production artist and was promoted to designer and then again to senior designer during the course of my employment. My responsibilities included: the design,  illustration, and production of catalog covers and direct mail pieces (including comps and supervision of photo shoots).  I advised a team of 12-15 production artists.
I worked on a daily basis with Quark XPress, Illustrator and Photoshop, (in that order)

UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA LOS ANGELES EXTENSION PROGRAM  -  CERTIFICATE IN FILM SCORING - 2001
Certificate Program in Film Scoring. Two to three year comprehensive program in the art and business of writing music for film.

UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA LOS ANGELES   -  MFA-NOT COMPLETED 1987-1999
Major in animation through the UCLA department of Film and Animation
Courses included: Conventional cel animation, 3D computer animation, Film design including optical printing,
Storyboard and layout techniques, Sound and Image editing, and life drawing workshops.

U C DAVIS EXTENSION  -  CERTIFICATE IN GRAPHIC DESIGN - 1986
Courses Included: Production for Graphic design, lettering, Scientific Illustration, Layouts
and Comprehensives, Business Principles for the Design Professional, Trademark and Symbol Design,

Major in painting and serigraphy, strong background in drawing. courses included: Painting, Serigraphy, Drawing, Photography. I Also have a strong background in music. My other interests are Singing, Swimming, and riding my bicycle.
